Fetish Week London 2021 cancelled

Since our announcement last year about the cancellation of FWL2020 we have all been through a turbulent and difficult time due to the pandemic. Here in the UK, we are steadily coming out of a four-month lockdown following the government’s guidelines to be completely open by 21st June.

This preliminary date is when nightclubs and other such premises can be reopened as well as the restrictions on large scale events eased, depending on the number and level of COVID-19 cases. When this announcement was made in February the gay fetish landscape in London was still very unclear, as many venues closed their doors or were unclear about their ability to reopen being socially distanced whilst awaiting further guidelines on carrying out sexual events such as Fetish Week London.

We are sure that you can understand that an event the scale of Fetish Week London requires a lot of coordination with multiple event spaces. Unfortunately given the timescale and uncertainty we cannot present FWL2021 in the way that we would like for the full enjoyment of our members and attendees. Therefore, we are looking to return in July 2022.

We recognise we all need to have some fun, we’ve missed you and want to see you this year! Look out for announcements about an in-person event in London coming soon. Until then please continue to stay safe and socially distance, use Recon to stay connected with your fellow kinksters around the world, and we shall look forward to seeing you all again in person soon.

Stay safe,
Team Recon
